David Cassidy has produced documentary series and features with Barbara Kopple and Cabin Creek Films for over ten years. He lives in Red Bank, New Jersey with his family and is proud to serve as a volunteer firefighter.
Cassidy has produced for example Running from Crazy (2013) which had it’s world premiere at Sundance in 2013. Engaging his passion for baseball, Cassidy produced The House of Steinbrenner (2010) which aired as part of ESPN’s Peabody Award Winning 30 for 30 series. He also produced the documentary Shut Up & Sing (2006) about the band Dixie Chicks and served as Co-Producer on the documentary Gun Fight (2011), which examined the varied debate about guns throughout America. With Kristin Davy he directed and produced the documentary feature One Small Step: The Story of the Space Chimps (2003). The film is about the chimpanzees used by NASA in the space race and what became of them.
